Equus Rescue
A first of its kind, Equus Rescue started in 2020 as a sanctuary park in central Todos Santos is dedicated to children, families, practitioners of Care and animals in need of safe space. This is a place where people come to immerse in Nature, find peace with themselves, grow their curiosity and explore. Predicated on deep learning and cultures of mutual aid, the sanctuary is a horse rescue and rehabilitation center.
Namuna is fiscally sponsoring their fundraise to support this Sanctuary space to ensure they can continue their operations and prepare for the hurricane season ahead.
All donations are 100% tax deductible.
The Sanctuary support wild and domestic horses who have no other support otherwise. From bringing back horses back from stab wounds inflicted by humans to abandoned rehabilitating wild foals with broken limbs or infections — Equus Rescue is a safe haven for these beautiful creatures to heal, recover, and rehabilitate.
Equus Sur also provide preventative care clinics allow local horsemen to talk to a vet before emergencies, and help empower locals to ask questions and learn about the needs of their animals.
Mission
Relieve stress/pain and elimínate unnecessary trauma — most large animals experience unnecessary trauma in careless cultures that spin on neglect and emergency. We foster cultures of care that practice preventation and ritualize mind•body health.
Treat and prevent infection - a vast majority of our rescue cases contend with infections that have been left to fester and compromise the system. We provide mobile vet kits and training to treat those areas and then easy practices that work to prevent it.
Build Sanctuary for full immersion - this is where we are now. The park is a forever home for animals recovering and a destination that allows people to gather round, participate, practice, make mistakes and embody new solutions. This is where the magic is catalyzed and released.
