FAQ
When will we meet?
We will begin November 29 (5-6:30pm EST) . We are finalizing the schedule, but we will meet once/twice a week from Nov 29-Dec 20, with homework assigned after each video call. The fall, winter solstice, and new year that this course navigates through are auspicious times to reflect on these topics. There may be opportunities for additional video calls with our guest speakers, depending on their final availability. All meetings will be recorded for those who cannot join each call.
What will we cover?
We will discuss a breadth and depth of material that will help you bring rhythm and consistency to your practice. Topics include:
The Spiritual but Not Religious movement
How we can each cultivate our own modern spiritual practice (template distilled from wisdom traditions provided)
Learn about and begin creating intentions and rituals for life’s rites of passages (Birth, Coming of Age, Partnership/Marriage, Elderhood, Community and Service, Death and Transition)
Create your own Eternal Calendar systems around equinoxes, solstices, and moon cycles
Identify what personal growth experiences are appropriate for you, and at what cadence
Learn if and when you should experience altered states of consciousness, and how to prepare for them
We can (and likely will) shape the knowledge and depth of each topic to meet the needs and interests of the unique container.
Who are the facilitators, practitioners, and subject-matter experts for this course?
We’re still confirming all the speakers, so stay tuned! Each speaker is being carefully chosen to align with the values of namūna, hold integrity to the practice and lineage of their traditions, and understand the unique needs of this modern spiritual movement we are all a part of. Co-founders of namūna, Zach Bell and Elyse Lee will be facilitating the course.
How much will this cost?
$550 is the suggested donation for the course. We offer a sliding scale from $250 to $1000, so you can support others who have less resources or receive support from the abundance of our community if needed. We ask you to be thoughtful about what is right for you.
After the course ends, what happens?
namūna was birthed to create a community to help you create and maintain your unique spiritual practice. During the course, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow like-minded peers and practitioners, as well as have access to all our comprehensive guides and resources in our Library that are continually being updated by a team of researchers. After the course, we will continue providing you access to community through gatherings and updates, and provide you continued access to our Library.
"What you are doing is creating pathways in your consciousness through which the creative forces can operate." It already exists within you, and these practices will help it re-emerge.
